The Embassy of Algeria in Libreville commemorated on November 6, 2025, the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian Revolution of November 1, 1954, during a ceremony held at the La Sablière Hotel. The event was attended by Gabonese authorities, members of the diplomatic corps, and the Algerian community.
Following the performance of the national anthems of both countries, His Excellency the Ambassador of Algeria paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Algerian people in their struggle for freedom. He also highlighted the progress achieved by independent Algeria and emphasized the strength of Algerian-Gabonese relations, which continue to grow within the framework of South-South cooperation.
The ceremony concluded with a tasting of traditional Algerian dishes, in a warm atmosphere enlivened by the rich and diverse rhythms of Algerian music.
